It's Official! Final North American Leg Of BLACK SABBATH’s The End Tour Extended To Include Three Shows In November
June 9, 2016, 8 years ago
The end is here. Nearly five years to the day that the legendary Black Sabbath announced they would be reforming, the band will play their last show EVER in the US on November 12th at AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX.
This just announced performance is one of three headlining arena concerts the band have added to the final North American leg of their massive 2016 The End world tour. The new shows are November 8th at BOK Center in Tulsa, OK, November 10th at Toyota Center in Houston, TX and November 12th at AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX. These dates and the previously announced headlining slot at this year's 20th anniversary celebration of Ozzfest (Saturday, September 24th at the Ozzfest Meets Knotfest double-header music and lifestyle weekend) come at the end of the band's North American tour, which kicks off August 17th at Nikon At Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, NY. The 2016 The End world tour and the Ozzfest Meets Knotfest are both produced by Live Nation.
The greatest metal band of all time - Ozzy Osbourne (Vocals), Tony Iommi (Guitar) and Geezer Butler (Bass) - are currently on tour in Europe for a mix of summer headlining and festival performances, before returning to North America in August. Immediately following the November US shows, Black Sabbath will head to Mexico and then South America where they will wrap up their 2016 dates. These new dates mark the end of the epic journey that Black Sabbath began nearly five decades ago.

“An artist or band’s success can be measured by their relationship with the fans and the success of the Home Of Metal exhibition brought home just how dedicated and loyal ours are,” states Black Sabbath’s founder and guitarist Tony Iommi.
Home Of Metal now announces that they have received funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for an exciting new project, to launch on Saturday, June 11th at Download Festival.
Inspired by Black Sabbath’s Final world tour in 2016, Home Of Metal will capture this unique moment from the perspective of the fans, working together to show the impact and legacy of the band, pioneers of the genre and to celebrate this unique, significant part of British music heritage.
Home Of Metal will explore how the music of four working class lads from Aston, Birmingham captured the hearts and minds of fans globally. A testament to their loyalty, the project will pay homage to the fan’s devotion and document the forty year relationship. Home Of Metal will work with fans, volunteers and the community to harness the power of social media, make portraits and capture and collate stories that mark this unique moment in history. The content collected will be used to develop an active online archive which will form part of a future exhibition to be launched in fall 2017.
