JEFF KOLLMAN BAND Announce July 18th Show Featuring TOOL’s Danny Carey

Guitarist Jeff Kollman (Cosmosquad, Glenn Hughes), who is currently on tour with Sebastian Bach, has announced a July 18th Baked Potato (Studio City, CA) show featuring a special lineup. Kollman will be joined by long-time compadre and co-guitarist, Jeff "Big Red" Marshall, bassist Jesse Stern, and drummer Danny Carey of Tool. UK-born harmonica virtuoso Paul Vallis will sit in as special guest.
States Kollman: “We are superstoked that Danny has agreed to join us for the occasion – gonna be fun even though we won’t have a lot of time to rehearse the set. It’ll be flying by the seats of our pants and hoping for the best! Originally, we were gonna do the gig with Glen Sobel, who’s played with us a ton over the years, but when Glen had to bow out due to his commitments with Alice Cooper we had to find a sub and quick. Enter: Mr. Carey! The only time I've had the opportunity to jam with Danny was an encore guest appearance with reggae greats Steel Pulse when I saw him in the audience and pulled him up on stage to join the jam. So great we’re finally getting a chance to play together for real. I cannot wait!”
In other Kollman news, the guitarist will also be back with Japanese superstar Eikicki Yazawa later this fall. Confirmed tour dates include the Rock In Dome show at Tokyo’s giant Tokyo Dome on September 5th.
Last but not least, Kollman has announced a demo archives compilation of early recordings from his pre-Edwin Dare days, set to be released sometime in the fall. Tentatively titled Jeff & Tommy Kollman – The Heavy Metal Teenage Years; the album is set to contain 18 songs from the brothers’ formative years in Toledo, OH before they set out to conquer the world with their first band VXN.
