Joe Stump has toured the world both as a solo artist and with metal bands Reign Of Terror, HolyHell, RavenLord and Exorcism. Joe is also an Associate Professor at the esteemed Berklee College of Music where he has been the metal/shred guitar specialist for the last 22 years. Released by Lion Music last year, The Dark Lord Rises marks Joe`s 10th solo record and once again the Shredlord has raised his game in every technical aspect while continuing to power up the guitar shred game into uncharted territory.

Black Night Meditations is a 4-hour program focusing on black, death, thrash, doom, shred, power, prog, folk and traditional metal, and broadcasts every Friday evening at 9pm e.s.t. on WSCA 106.1 FM in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, USA.  For more information, go to this location.

Stump is streaming the track “Hostile Takeover”, from his new album, The Dark Lord Rises, out now via Lion Music.

He recently spoke with BraveWords scribe Carl Begai and revealed some details of his new album: "It's a killer with some very heavy stuff; thrash, speed, power, and even a black metal-tinged track, along with of course the badass Blackmore rocking shit and Yngwie induced neo-classical  fret frying. Also, a beautiful ballad dedicated and inspired by Gary Moore that's one of the best things I`ve ever recorded as far as that emotional side of my playing goes."

The tracklist is as follows:
"Hostile Takeover"
"Stratomaster"
"Out For Blood"
"The Black Knight Returns"
"Tortured Soul"
"The Dark Lord's Allegro"
"Staring Into The Abyss"
"Concerto No. 2 In B-Minor"
"Neo Classical Shredfest No. 4"
"Battle Tested"
"Brothers In Shred" (bonus)
