Beer drinking metal legions, this update from Kataklysm is for you:
"Ten thousand (10,000 liters) of Kataklysm St. Tabarnak beer are being brewed at Brouwerij Eutropius as we speak. The beer will start making its way to distribution centers in different countries in Europe and eventually will make its way into your favorite bars. The process will take some time but it's in full effect. We are also working to have this beer sold at some of the upcoming European concerts. People can still place orders via order@kataklysmbeer.com."
Belgium’s fast rising brewery powerhouse Eutropius has joined forces with Montreal death metal masters, Kataklysm, to bring the band‘s own branded beer to the world. What makes this alliance special is, that this speciality craft beer has been brewed with the bands approval on a unique recipe for a pure Belgian blonde beer and stands at a mighty and unholy 6,66% alcohol content, a smooth refreshing tasting beer that packs power just like the bands music. Keeping true to the bands origins, the beer has been baptized with the St. Tabarnak name; 'Tabarnak' is a popular slang word in Quebec, Canada and fits perfectly with the bands heritage, upbringing and rebellious nature.
The beer is now available, in time to commemorate the release of the band's new album, Of Ghosts And Gods. Go to the official St.Tabarnak page here for details on the beer and to order. According to an update from Kataklysm, the beer is available in cases only.
Eutropius Brewery CEO Wouter Vermeersch comments: “Today, our brewery can finally announce its deal with the Canadian death metal force Kataklysm. We are proud to cooperate in unleashing their own blonde ale beer into the world.”
Kataklysm frontman Maurizio Iacono comments: “It‘s a total honour being asked to partake in such a project. We started with our own hot sauce to start the party for our new record release and now we have the beer to go with it, the music is coming this summer and all this is for our fans. They deserve it! Cheers Tabarnak!“
Of Ghosts And Gods was released on July 31st worldwide via Nuclear Blast. Mastermind Maurizio states:
“The time has come once again, Kataklysm on our 12th studio album and still going strong , we are very proud of this record, it holds the best elements of the bands career and a completely new vibe and fresh outlook on death metal in 2015, "Thy Serpents Tongue” is the first taste, a sinister dark and groove but melodic track that when it bites you, the poison will take you in and make you travel to the other side, horns up!”
Iacono has posted a message on Facebook in praise of video director Tommy Jones, who was responsible for shooting 10 video for the 10 songs on Of Ghosts And Gods as part of an epic promotion campaign:
Iacono: "A special thank you to my boy Tommy Jones (Videohammer Studios) for the crazy adventure of putting together 10 video clips, traveling from the States to Canada and all the way to South Africa to film this. We never worked with a more dedicated director. Some people are easy to criticize and expect Hollywood movies but there's no one in the industry that could have pulled off this thing with the time frame and restrictions we were put on to make it happen. We made somewhat of history here. He's a metalhead and a brother and I recommend him to anyone who wants a pro dude with heart behind the camera. He's worked with bands like Slayer and even bigger but always finds time for his brothers in Kataklysm. Thanks again, it was fun. Good luck in LA."
