Legendary entertainment photographer Bob King gained fame in 1964 when he captured images of The Beatles at Sydney Stadium. His career brought him in front stages being the official tour photographer for AC/DC, Mick Jagger, Barbra Streisand, Bon Jovi, INXS and Jimmy Barnes. Deep Purple’s official YouTube channel has released a slide presentation of Bob King photographs from the Australian tour of Deep Purple Mark 4 from 1975.
“They loved Tommy (Bolin) in Australia,” late keyboardist John Lord said. “We played five cities there and the weather was gorgeous. A stunningly the successful tour.”
