Norwegian progsters, Leprous, recently released their new studio album, The Congregation, via InsideOutMusic. Today the band launch the lyric video for the album track "Slave". The clip was created by Costin Chioreanu of Twilight 13 Media.

Leprous’ Einar Solberg checked in with the following comment about the track: "I would say that “Slave” is one of the most emotional tracks of the album. The foundation is simple, but the content is rich.”

The Congregation is available as standard jewelcase CD, digital download as well as limited import mediabook CD and 2LP editions. Physical versions feature bonus track "Pixel". The album's epic artwork was created by artist Nihil, and can be seen below. Says the band, "The artwork represents the album's dark theme very well by showing deformation and disturbance.”

Leprous recorded the drums, guitars and bass for the new album in Sweden's Fascination Street / Ghostward Studios with David Castillo (Katatonia, Opeth) and the vocals together with Heidi Solberg Tveitan and Vegard Tveitan at Mnemosyne Studios in Norway. Just like the preceding albums Bilateral and Coal, The Congregation was mixed by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios (Opeth, Symphony X, Kreator).

Leprous about the upcoming tour: "So we're heading out again, and we're more eager than ever to hit the road! It's a bunch of good cities we already know, and we simply can't wait to return. The preparations for the tour have already started, as to perform the new songs is a very challenging task. When we in addition are working to take our live performance up to a new level, I believe we have some busy months ahead of us."
