Metal Express Radio recently caught up with Loudness vocalist Minoru Niihara, who discussed the band’s influences from when they started out in Japan, how he was forced to learn English to break outside Japan, how producer Max Norman worked to make the vocals sound right, and about the 400 (!) songs the band has written. Way too many according to Niihara...

In late 2015, Loudness posted a short documentary on their breakthrough album, Thunder In The East, celebrating the platter's 30th anniversary at the time. The clip is in Japanese and can be viewed below.

Loundness released a 30th anniversary edition of their Thunder In The East album in Japan on November 25th, 2015. The special edition of the album was released in several different versions featuring bonus DVDs with live footage from their 1985 US tour and more.
