M:PIRE OF EVIL / Ex-VENOM Guitarist MANTAS To Release Instrumental Tracks In Support Of Animal Rescue Center; Details Revealed
November 22, 2014, 10 years ago
Jeff "Mantas" Dunn of Venom and M:pire Of Evil fame has launched a new music webpage with the following update:
"Ok boys and girls, so heres the plan . . .As I said on the home page of this site I am constantly writing guitar riffs and music so, time to put it all to some good use.
Another thing I hope you noticed is the photo on the Mantas page of me with four abandoned kittens whilst on vacation . . if not please take a look.
Virtually every pet I have had since being a kid has been a rescue animal . . cats, dogs, rabbits and even a mouse and a hamster! Yes, your friendly neighbourhood Metal Maniac is a big softy at heart, especially when it comes to these little guys.
If you are anything like me I'm sure it absolutely sickens and disgusts you to see how some so-called 'human beings' treat those who when given a safe environment in which to live return that small consideration with so much unconditional love.
I know we can't change the world overnight but we can make a small difference if we do it together, no matter how small . . it helps.
I have recently re-located to Portugal with my girlfriend, and as we make new friends here we have discovered that all of their pets are rescue animals and so obviously we decided to go down the same route. As a result we have been given the details of a rescue centre nearby.
Before we continue please take a little time to watch the video below. Thank you.
This centre now looks after up to 120 dogs and is completely self-funded and reliant on donations and volunteer helpers. All of the dogs are given whatever medical treatment they need before being advertised for re homing. So what can we do?
Well, here's the deal . . as I have already said, I am constantly writing music and so rather than have it sit on a computer hard drive gathering dust I thought I would like to put it to some use.
It is all rock/metal guitar instrumentals and I intend to aim to release one song per month, touring and other commitments permitting of course. There will be 10 songs in total. At the end of the 10 song period I will post some original artwork designed by myself that you will be able to download free of charge as your CD cover.
And here is how it will work;
One euro will get you one song; it's as simple as that my friends. All I require from you is, your name and country of residence and your email address.
50% of all money raised will go to the dog shelter and 50% will go towards production costs AND the adoption of one of these little fellows to give him/her a loving new home.
Obviously if you are feeling generous and would like to donate more, then please feel free but even if you pay the standard 1 euro then you know that you have helped.
No donation amounts will be disclosed to anyone else.
So, even at one euro per song you will still just pay the approximate price for a 10 song CD only with the knowledge that you are helping a worthwhile cause along the way.
Please do not feel obligated to pay more, it will be appreciated if you do but if enough of you join this cause then we can make a small difference.
So there you have it, you pay one euro and I email you the mp3 . . simples!
All I ask is that when you receive your mp3 is that you dont share it all over youtube and the like as that will totally defeat the purpose of this project.
I hope you will help this cause and I thank you all in advance. Maximum Respect."
