MARCO MENDOZA Signs Worldwide Record Deal With Mighty Music

Marco Mendoza is currently in Denmark recording his long-awaited new solo album, Viva La Rock, with producer and guitar player Soren Andersen (Glenn Hughes, Mike Tramp). The new album is the first solo album in eight years from Mendoza. Casa Mendoza was released in 2010 via Mascot Records.

Viva La Rock is a tour de force of 10 soulful hard rocking songs inspired by Mendoza’s roots from the 70s up 'til the bands he has been involved with in recent years, including Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy and Ted Nugent, and currently The Dead Daisies.

Mexican/American-born Mendoza is mostly known for his bass playing, but on Viva La Rock he will underline how gifted a singer he is and has always been. Like fellow bass-man Glenn Hughes, the voice of Mendoza has only grown stronger with age.

Morten Hellborn - Drums

... and special guests later to be announced.

While in Denmark, Mendoza signed a multiple world wide record deal with the leading Scandinavian rock/metal label Mighty Music.

"I'm so jazzed to announce that I will work with Mighty Music and my talented, good friend Soren Andersen on a worldwide album release. Very exciting and creative times for me.” - Marco Mendoza

"So proud to welcome Marco Mendoza to our label. Marco is one of those musicians from the glorious days of rock'n'roll who's still got the voice, the stage presence and the ability to write songs.” - Michael H. Andersen, CEO Mighty Music.

Viva La Rock is set to be released in early-2018 worldwide through Mighty Music followed by an extensive worldwide tour. This week Marco will be heading on a 3-week solo European tour with Michael McCrystal (Tygers Of Pan Tang) and John Macaluso (Yngwie Malmsteen).
