Gothenburg based metal sextet MARIONETTE has recently released new group and individual photos featuring the latest addition to the bands lineup: guitarist Anton Modig. Additionally, Marionette have announced more live dates in Europe; in addition to the band’s showcase performance at Der Roter Salon on October 9; a Live Nation showcase at the PopKomm music convention. Bassist Mikael Medin had the following to say regarding the lineup shift and the additional gigs in Europe.

“Marionette has added a few additional shows to our scheduled showcase at PopKomm, at Roter Salon on October 9 in Berlin. We have a final show in Gothenburg with AVATAR on the 26, in addition to our first gig on Danish soil at Lades Kaelder on October 8. We look forward to all of these shows, in addition to our gig with AUGUST BURNS RED in Stockholm at Klubben on October 18. All of these will get our adrenaline running at high volume for the Reiterfestspiele 2008 tour with DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER! After that, we will hit Norwegian soil at Gunfest in Oslo on November 29. So lots of live gigs are confirmed, bur since we are so hungry to play live, you can expect more!

Anton has come into the band focused and as dedicated as we could ask for! He is now almost completely up to speed with our material from Spite that we plan to continue playing live. Also, his presence has started to inspire us and get us into a writing mood, so we are really excited to start working with some new material and start making some killer songs for our next record. But for now, our number one priority is to continue to hit the road, and we plan to give 150% each night to everyone that comes out to rock out. See you in the moshpit!”
