MEGADETH Frontman DAVE MUSTAINE Weighs In On GUNS N' ROSES "Reunion" - "I Think It Would Be Terrific If STEVEN ADLER And IZZY STRADLIN Were There Too; That Would Be Really Nostalgic"

On January 24th, Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine guested on The Strombo Show featuring host George Stroumboulopoulos. They discussed the band's new album, Dystopia, and Mustaine weighed in on the upcoming super-hyped partial reunion of the original Guns N' Roses line-up.

Mustaine: "I don't know that that's going to happen. I certainly hope that it will, but, you know, in order for it to truly be a Guns N' Roses reunion, you've gotta ask yourself, 'Who's gonna be there?' I think it would be terrific if drummer Steven (Adler/drums) and Izzy (Stradlin/guitars) were there too, because that would be really, really nostalgic. There's nothing really keeping them from doing it other than personal differences. And I understand — trust me, I just went through that with the Rust In Peace line-up — so sometimes it's not meant to happen. But if it is, that would be so cool."

Check out the complete interview, beginning at the 2 hour 23 minute mark here.

Odd things have been happening recently in the Guns N' Roses camp, as band management is now forcing some of the members linked with the new lineup to deny the reunion, reports Ultimate-Guitar.com

Multi-instrumentalist Chris Pitman, who was the only musician apart from vocalist Axl Rose to give a strong confirmation of his involvement with "semi-reunited" GN'R through such posts as "Gonna be a fun time 2016 #coachella #axlrose #GunsNRoses," has now "denied" the whole thing. Pitman tweeted: "I was just informed by management to not acknowledge anything about Coachella, GN'R, etc. So there, denied! #GamesForDays"

Management's decision comes in a midst of the latest reports suggesting that drummer Steven Adler and guitarist Izzy Stradlin could be involved with the reunited Guns after all. Thus far, only three musicians have been confirmed for the new GN'R lineup: Axl Rose on vocals, Slash on lead guitar, and Duff McKagan on bass. Read more at this location.

As previously reported, Guns N' Roses will headline the Coachella Music Festival in Indio, CA on April 16th and 23rd.
