January 23, 2015, 9 years ago
Some of the most legendary names in thrash and metal came together Wednesday night (January 21st) at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California, as the first Metal Allegiance show on solid ground rocked a raucous crowd, reports JacksonGuitars.com.
Metal Allegiance was originally formed in 2014 on the inaugural voyage of Motörhead’s Motörboat cruise. That trip united artists like Frank Bello, Charlie Benante and Scott Ian of Anthrax; David Ellefson of Megadeth, Chris Broderick; and Chuck Billy and Alex Skolnick of Testament. Rounding out the lineup for the House of Blues appearance were Pantera / Kill Devil Hill bassist Rex Brown, Slayer / Exodus guitarist Gary Holt, Sepultura guitarist Andreas Kisser, Death Angel vocalist Mark Osegueda, Winery Dogs drummer Mike Portnoy, Mastodon bassist Troy Sanders and The Cult drummer John Tempesta.
