METALLICA - Hardwired... To Self-Destruct Officially Tops US And Canadian Album Charts; Other #1 Chart Positions Revealed

Metallica’s new studio album, Hardwired... To Self-Destruct, has debuted at #1 on the album charts in both Canada and the US.

In addition to the United States and Canada, Hardwired...To Self Destruct is #1 on the album charts in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, and Sweden with many of these markets having their best sales week of 2016. A complete list of the 20+ countries where the album debuted at #1 will be available midweek when the respective charts are published.

In the United States, Hardwired...To Self Destruct debuted atop the Billboard Top 200 chart with over 291,266 equivalent album units and 281,645 actual album sales, and is the band's sixth consecutive #1 album in the United States.

Hardwired...To Self-Destruct is Metallica’s first studio album since 2008's multi-platinum Death Magnetic. The album was produced by Greg Fidelman, who engineered and mixed Death Magnetic, and is available at Metallica.com in various configurations including: CD, Vinyl, Digital, Deluxe, and Deluxe Deluxe Versions.
