On December 1st, 1984 in Mainz, Germany, three young German Rock Hard journalists Götz Kühnemund (he left the magazine earlier this year), Holger Stratmann and Uwe Lerch (who left after issue #19 and now runs Evil Eye Entertainment) met even young James Hetfield before the show during the Ride The Lightning European Tour. Excerpts of the original interview was published issue # 9, here's for the first time ever the complete story in three parts.
