In the new video footage below from ESPN, Jack Mitrani catches up with Metallica bass player Robert Trujillo to discuss X Games Austin's festival vibe.
Metallica recently uploaded MetOnTour video the X Games, from June 6th. Footage includes Robert Trujillo, Kirk Hammett, and Lar Ulrich in the meet and greet, the tuning room, and “Whiplash” from the show.
On June 6th, Metallica performed the American national anthem on to kick off the X Games Austin 2015. Check out the clip below. In addition, a previously posted ESPN clip of Metallica frontman James Hetfield and skateboard legend Tony Hawk talking about the connection between music and sport at Metallica's HQ in San Francisco in advance of the X Games is also available.
