MITHRAS – New Track “The Statue On The Island” Streaming; New Live Lineup Announced

Atmospheric brutal death metallers Mithras are set to release their fourth full-length album, entitled On Strange Loops later this year via Willowtip (North America) and Galactic Records (UK, Europe and everywhere else).
The band is streaming the album's third track, “The Statue On The Island”, which bears all the usual Mithras hallmarks: Leon Macey's razor-sharp, ferocious drums and ethereal solos set the foundations for Rayner Coss's oratory and bass. With almost 9 years between this and their last full-length Behind The Shadows Lie Madness, this latest darkly sci-fi chapter in the band's career sees them launch their music into another dimension entirely.
Mithras have also announced a new live lineup featuring Tom Hyde (Sarpanitum) on second guitar, and Julien Helwin (Monument Of Misanthropy, Horncrowned,Withdrawn) on drum duties.
The band recently announced a couple of live dates, including London's Incineration Festival this May and the Czech Republic's Brutal Assault in August. More live dates are expected to be announced very soon.
