Mötley Crüe guitarist Mick Mars is back at Blackbird Studio in Nashville, Tennessee, continuing work on his debut solo release, along with former Mötley Crüe vocalist John Corabi. A few photos from the studio can be found at the Mick Mars Facebook page.
Mick Mars says he feels like “the most unpopular person on the planet” – but he aims to change that with his solo career.
Last year Mars told Classic Rock’s Dave Ling: “It’ll be a hard rock record, but it’s tough to categorize. It’s not metal. It’ll make your hair fly back in the breeze.”

Artisan News Service was present at Mötley Crüe’s final show December 31st at Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA and they have posted an interview with members Mick Mars and Tommy Lee that was conducted a year prior to the final show.
Mick Mars said that each member was still interested in writing music and they’ve taken the band as far as it could go. Mars said, “It’s time to move on, it’s time to show another side of each member.”
