June 26, 2016, 8 years ago
Calling all Motörhead bangers and friends you are invited to a very special event to Raise a Glass to Lemmy to celebrate the anniversary of the very first Motörhead gig at the Roundhouse Camden on July 20th, 1975! Organiizers have a great event planned including a full play through of the classic 'No Sleep 'til Hammersmith' from 7pm.
A press release reads:
We have secured the wonderful Black Heart Inn, 2 minutes from Camden Town tube and a stone's throw from the Roundhouse. The Black Heart is a great London rock venue with the walls stained with the sweat of a million moshers and on hand to make sure the event truly rocks is the Born Again, Heavy Metal Soundhouse. Two great DJs who recreate the magic of Neil Kay's Soundhouse with the sounds of Motörhead and all things NWOBHM!
This special event has been organised with the support and blessing of Motörhead and the Motörhead bangers Fan Club. We hope this will be the first of many - but believe us you will want to say you were there at the first one!
Tickets are strictly limited to 250 at priced at an incredibly low £3+ fees!!! We don't want cost to be a barrier to anyone and the main event of the evening will be complete by 9pm, with great music and socialising til late. We will also organise a pilgrimage to the Roundhouse for those that want to join us to celebrate the magic that was born on that night 41 years ago.
