MOTÖRHEAD - Lineup Announced For LEMMY KILMISTER All-Star Band At Bass Player Live! Event

Additional musicians have been announced for the Bass Player Live! All-Star Concert and Awards Ceremony held on the evening of November 7th at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA. The event is part of the eighth annual premier live bass guitar event - Bass Player Live! 2015 - held Saturday, November 7th and Sunday, November 8th in Los Angeles.
As previously announced, Metallica bassist and Jaco film producer Robert Trujillo will be presenting a Bass Player Lifetime Achievement Award to Motörhead’s Lemmy Kilmister at the Bass Player Live! Concert. Following the presentation, an all-star set honouring Kilmister will feature performances from Robert Trujillo, Rex Brown (Kill Devil Hill, Pantera), Blasko (Ozzy Osbourne), and dUg Pinnick (Grinder Blues, King’s X, Pinnick/Gales/Pridgen) on bass, drummer/musical director Tommy Rickard (Scott Weiland, Linda Perry), vocalists Whitfield Crane (Ugly Kid Joe) and Chuck Billy (Testament), and guitarist Lita Ford.
During the concert and awards ceremony, Earth, Wind & Fire bassist and 2008 Bass Player Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Verdine White will present a Bass Player Lifetime Achievement Award to Nathan East. This will be followed by a set with Nathan and his all-star band, plus special guests.
In addition, following the presentation of the late Louis Johnson’s Bass Player Lifetime Achievement Award to his brother Tommy Johnson, L.A. session ace Alex Al will direct an all-star tribute to “Thunder Thumbs” featuring guest bassists Bill Dickens, “Ready” Freddie Washington, Andrew Gouché, and last year’s Bass Player Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Abraham Laboriel.
Bass Player Live! features two days of exhibits by top gear manufacturers and clinics by world-class bassists at SIR Studios in Hollywood.
Bass clinic highlights include a Louis Johnson tribute clinic hosted by Brothers Johnson guitarist George Johnson, along with Andre Berry and Alex Al; 2008 Bass Player Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Mike Watt making his long-awaited return to Bass Player Live!, joining dUg Pinnick, Blasko, Rex Brown, and Mike Inez in a Saturday rock panel; a special clinic presentation by session legend Chuck Rainey, joined by fellow studio greats James Gadson on drums and Larry Nash on keyboards; a probing pedal and effects clinic by The Mars Volta bassist and author of BP's "Tonal Vision" column, Juan Alderete; a throwdown clinic by gospel bass master Andrew Gouché in support of his new album, We Don't Need No Bass; TV's "face of bass," award-winning producer, and former American Idol and The Tonight Show With Jay Leno bandleader Rickey Minor in his annual clinic; virtuoso bassist/producer and Rope A Dope recording artist Bill Dickens, presenting a clinic in support of his new album Tha Truth.

Bass Player Live! clinics and exhibits at SIR Studios in Hollywood will be held Saturday, November 7th from 10 AM - 6 PM and Sunday, November 8th from 10 AM - 5 PM. Doors open at 7:00 PM for the November 7th concert at Musicians Institute and music begins at 8 PM. Bass players and musicians of all ages, levels and styles are invited to attend.
