MY RUIN Vocalist TAIRRIE B. MURPHY Pays Tribute To Hip Hop Legend EAZY-E On Anniversary Of His Death; New Solo Rap Album Vintage Curses Complete

My Ruin vocalist Tairrie B. Murphy has checked in with the following update:

"Twenty years ago today (March 26th), the hip hop world lost a legend. His name was Eazy-E aka Eric Lynn Wright. Although he is no longer alive, his words still resonate and music continues to live on as timeless in an industry where he was an archetype and true original on the mic.

In honor of today being the anniversary of his death, I decided to open my vault and dig out another never before seen classic photo of me and E in loving memory. This was taken during my video shoot for ‪'‎Murder She Wrote'‬ back in 1990 and although we both look stone cold serious, I can remember the fun we had filming and how much he made me laugh between takes on the set. Those are the things you don't forget.

As most of you may or may not know, I have recently finished recording a new solo (rap) album called ‪Vintage Curses‬ which I announced in January and plan to release soon. It's a dark and witchy journey back to my hip hop roots with and old school West Coast influence. I pay my respects to Eazy on the last song and I sample his voice speaking to me on another. I often wonder what he would think of my new album if he were alive to hear it and then I remember, he was with me when I wrote it and in the studio, in spirit."
