NAPALM DEATH Frontman Mark "Barney" Greenway - "A Lot Of Laws Are Based On Self-Interest And Not For The Good Of The People"

Mark "Barney" Greenway of Napalm Death is featured in a new interview with Capital Chaos TV. In the audio clip below he talks about the concept behind the band's new album Apex Predator - Easy Meat, touring with Voivod, his favourite Napalm Death albums and the origins of his nickname

The 15th studio album release, Apex Predator - Easy Meat, from Napalm Death, is out now. To celebrate the album’s  release, a really special promotional video clip for the short and intense track “Smash A Single Digit” is now available. The video for “Smash A Single Digit” was directed and produced by Michael Panduro, who has previously worked for bands like Cephalic Carnage, Saint Vitus or Job For A Cowboy.

Trivia facts about this clip: The video is made up of 1093 unique drawings, each one hand-drawn in ink on paper by artist Lisbet Fredslund and actually 225 of the drawings are of the face of Napalm Death vocalist “Mark “Barney” Greenway, who checked in to comment the clip as follows:

“Couldn't be happier with the "Smash A Single Digit" video clip. It shows nothing of dignity or life's fundamental pleasures - only a snapshot of those unfortunate enough to only be deemed as numbers for production quotas in this world. When a 'digit' has therefore been expended, it is rubbed out (or consumed leaving no trace, as in the case of this video). In my opinion, Michael Panduro and the team produced a real work of art and I think the general style holds some really nice future artistic possibilities for Napalm Death."

Napalm Death and Voivod have joined forces for a North American Tour, aptly titled Through Space And Grind. They issued the following update: "Due to illness within his family, we would like to announce that Mitch Harris will unfortunately not be performing with us for the near future. We stress that this is not a permanent arrangement, although we are unsure exactly when Mitch will return under the circumstances.

Naturally, we sympathise and wish Mitch all the best for now. In the meantime we will be joined by guitarists who we know can grind it out in his absence. Thanks for your understanding..."
