February 22, 2016, 8 years ago
In 2014, Canadian speed metal pioneering band, Exciter, made the announcement that the original trio of John Ricci, Dan Beehler and Allan Johnson got back together. The classic lineup has since played Keep it True festival in Germany, Defenders Of The Old in the US, a full-on tour in South America and finally, they will be playing their first Canadian show in 31 years on Friday March 18th at Montreal's legendary Foufounes Électriques.
Their performance will consist of all the classics from Heavy Metal Maniac, Violence And Force and Long Live The Loud, that established Exciter as one of the pioneers of speed and thrash. New material and a new release will eventually follow.
The Foufounes Électriques show on March 18th will feature only Canadian metal bands. Besides Exciter, the show includes heavy/speed metal killers Piledriver and pre-Cauldron heavy/doom band, Goat Horn.
