Original VICIOUS RUMORS Bassist Dave Starr Reflects On 20th Anniversary Of Vocalist CARL ALBERT’s Passing - “The Memory Of Holding Your Hand While You Lay Dying Is Forever Etched In My Mind”

WildeStarr guitarist (and original Vicious Rumors bassist) Dave Starr reflects on the recent 20 year anniversary of the passing of Vicious Rumors singer Carl Albert. Carl passed away on April 22nd, 1995 as the result of critical injuries he suffered in an auto accident four days earlier.
"20 years ago we lost Carl Albert. Not a day goes by that I don't think of him. All the great memories, all the great music we made, the laughter, the sorrow, the ups and downs, the heartaches and joy. I'll never understand the way our friendship ended. It didn't make sense then and it still doesn't 20 years later.
Regardless, the eight years that Carl, Geoff, Mark, Larry and I spent together in VR will live on forever in all of our hearts... the band members, the fans, the family and friends. Nobody can ever take that away.
The memory of holding your hand while you lay dying is forever etched in my mind, but more then that... all the amazing things we did together! I hope to see you again one day my friend, and we shall pick up where we left off.... RIP.”
WildeStarr (Dave Starr - all guitars and bass, London Wilde - lead vocals, and Josh Foster - drums) are currently in the studio recording their third CD, WildeStarr III, due out later this year.
