Original Y&T drummer Leonard Haze brings his band, HazeXperience, and its signature brand of groove-heavy rock ‘n’ roll to the Alameda County Fair in Pleasanton, California this Friday, June 24th.
The band - which is comprised of the aforementioned Haze (Y&T, Ian Gillan Band), vocalist Jeffrey Winslow (Syrym), bassist David Blakely (Sammy’s Good Eye), and guitarist Jimmy DK (Byrnie Baker Band, Luvhed) - storms the new AgVenture Stage at 7:30 p.m. for this all-ages show. Expect plenty of catchy, original hard rock with some Y&T material mixed in for good measure.
“I’ve played music all over the world with many well-known musicians and bands. But I’m Alameda County born-and-raised, and there’s still nothing like the feeling of playing for the fans right here at home,” said Haze.
HazeXperience is in the midst of its summer concert schedule, where they will be following up the Alameda County Fair show with dates in Livermore (July 22nd, Pine Street Bar), Pacifica (July 30th, Winter’s Tavern), and Sunnyvale (August 12th, The Quarter Note).
“We’re revving up the HazeXperience engine Friday night,” noted Winslow. “We’ve been busy recording music for our upcoming album, and now it’s time to share some of that with the great music fans at the Fair.”
Haze was one of the principal songwriters for Y&T, co-writing many of their biggest hits, including “Hurricane”, “Black Tiger”, “Mean Streak”, “Rescue Me”, “Dirty Girl”, “Forever” and MTV staple “Summertime Girls”. With Y&T, Haze headlined shows featuring opening acts such as Van Halen, Mötley Crüe, and Stevie Ray Vaughan, as well as touring the world alongside such acts as AC/DC, Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne, and Rush. He subsequently recorded and performed with the likes of Ronnie Montrose, Tony Iommi, Ian Gillan, and many others. As a member of the Ian Gillan Band, Haze embarked on a two-year world tour and performed in 71 countries.
