Bulgarian metal opera project Pagliacci has released the third digital single from their upcoming album The Village Of Madmen. The song is called “Wise Men & Lunatics” and introduces the third vocalist in the album - Dimitar Belchev (Volentory, Vivaldi Metal Project) - in his role as the main character of the story - the Traveler.
Here is Pagliacci's description of the song: "The Traveler has failed to save the world. The villagers have offered him their madness / enlightenment and a place to call home. "One of us," they say, "for a long time now you've been one of us." And maybe, just maybe, the world never needed saving in the first place."
Pagliacci is founded by two ex-members of the symphonic metal act Allegorist – Zhivko Koev (keys, music, lyrics) and Katerina Simeonova (vocals). The duo has also been heavily involved in Vivaldi Metal Project – an all-star symphonic metal undertaking boasting members of Helloween, Symphony X, Rhapsody Of Fire, Sonata Arctica and others.
“Wise Men & Lunatics” features a special appearance by the producer of Vivaldi Metal Project and virtuoso keyboardist Mistheria (Bruce Dickinson, Rob Rock, Vivaldi Metal Project) on piano.
Pagliacci previously released videos for “Black Flowers” and “So Sane”, both of which also appear on The Village Of Madmen album.
