PANTERA - Veteran Photographer Chad Lee Shares Memories Of Friendship With Guitarist Dimebag Darrell; Audio Online

Veteran rock photographer, Chad Lee, appears on this week's episode of the Decibel Geek podcast for a discussion on Pantera's career, legacy, as well as his friendship with late guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott.

 

 

In this discussion, Lee shares his memories of seeing Pantera in a small club in Chicago in 1990. He goes on to describe photographing them during their rise from clubs to theaters, to arenas. Also in this talk, is Lee's thoughts on what brought on the breakup of Pantera and his opinion on what, if anything, should happen in regards to a reunion.

Chad Lee also reveals the emotions he felt on the night that Dimebag was murdered onstage at the Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio on December 4th, 2004 as well as the turmoil endured by the inner-circle of those close to the late guitarist in the aftermath of is death. Chad's appearance on Decibel Geek is also intended to help spread the word of the upcoming Ride for Dime that is taking place near Nashville, TN on September 27th.
