QUEEN’s Brian May, Roger Taylor Channel Freddie Mercury Forever

North American syndicated rock radio show and website InTheStudio: The Stories Behind History’s Greatest Rock Bands rules the airwaves with rock royalty, Queen songwriters, guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor, on the release of a new impressive compilation that explains why fans will love Queen forever.

Queen celebrated their 40th anniversary in 2011 with a hit musical We Will Rock You, a highly successful international tour pairing Queen with Bad Company and Free singer Paul Rodgers, and a renewed sense of more to come.  Much to their surprise, Queen would find themselves on the popular TV program American Idol performing with a young flamboyant contestant, singer Adam Lambert, who would join Queen this year to tour America, Australia and New Zealand with the band selling out arenas everywhere.

Meanwhile Brian May and Roger Taylor embarked on a new project, Queen Forever, a unique undertaking that would bring the iconic Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury, who passed away late in 1991, into the 21st century with classic Queen songs plus three never-released Freddie Mercury discoveries with Queen, the spectacular power ballad “Love Kills”, Brian May’s “Let Me in Your Heart Again”, even a Freddie Mercury duet with Michael Jackson, all previously unreleased.

Brian May shares with InTheStudio program host Redbeard the concept behind Queen Forever: “It’s an unusual compilation album really, this collection of songs which are not the most obvious ones, but that we feel crystallize certain moments for us. And the icing on the cake is these extra tracks which really no one has ever heard.”
