Ultimate Jam Night today announced it’s move from Lucky Strike Live to the world famous Whisky A Go Go on the Sunset Strip. The unique multi-performer jam experience will begin its new run at the Whisky every Tuesday starting March 29th.
Created by Chuck Wright of Quiet Riot, Ultimate Jam Night will continue to feature its house band of Wright, drummer Matt Starr (Mr. Big), guitarist Mitch Perry (MSG), and MC Paulie Z. (Z-Rock and Z02).
Using a format of unrehearsed tunes integrating music’s best performers, performance art, comedy, and charity giving the show has attracted over 28,000 in-person guests, viewership in excess of 2 million, and world-wide attention. In it’s first year the weekly event boasted performances by members of KISS, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Motörhead, Bon Jovi, and others.
“We’re proud that our show has created not only a following, but an extremely loyal family feel” said, Wright. We’re excited that the Whisky allows us to continue our mission of rebuilding the rock music community – only this time on the Sunset strip in an iconic and historical setting.”
In a separate move, the organization also announced it’s expansion plans into the Nashville market – scheduled for later in the year. To lead the effort Ultimate Jam Night has appointed Rich Redmond of the Jason Aldean band. Details are forthcoming, but both the Hollywood and Nashville shows will run concurrently.
The Nashville expansion of Ultimate Jam Night is the first in a series of announcements that will present the Ultimate Jam Night experience to a broader global audience.
