RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS Frontman ANTHONY KIEDIS Hospitalized With Intestinal Flu; Upcoming iHeart Radio Performance Cancelled

Grammy Award-winning Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductees, Red Hot Chili Peppers, were forced to cancel their May 14th show at the annual KROQ Weenie Roast when frontman Anthony Kiedis began experienceing extreme stomach pain. The band released a statement on May 15th:
"Due to Anthony Kiedis' hospitalization from complications from the intestinal flu on Saturday evening, the Red Hot Chili Peppers regretfully must postpone their upcoming concert for iHeart Radio on May 17th. They would like to extend their gratitude to the fans for the outpouring of well wishes. Anthony is expected to make a full recovery soon."
The Red Hot Chili Peppers have returned with a new single "Dark Necessities”, which is available around the world via all digital retailers. The song is streaming below.
The track is the first song to be released from the Los Angeles-based band's upcoming 11th studio album, The Getaway, due from Warner Bros. Records on June 17th. Fans who pre-order the album at this location will receive an instant download of "Dark Necessities". The album was produced by Danger Mouse and mixed by Nigel Godrich. Red Hot Chili Peppers' previous album, I'm With You, was released in 2011 and topped the charts in 18 countries.
