Report: Man Falls To Death At Chicago Open Air Festival

According to Chicago Sun-Times, 29-year-old North Side man died Friday night after falling two stories from a railing to the pavement below on opening night of the three-day Chicago Open Air Festival at Toyota Park in Bridgeview.

Robert Smucz was watching the concert on the mezzanine level of the outdoor stadium at 7000 S. Harlem Ave. just after 10 PM when he fell, according to city spokesman Ray Hanania.

He was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn less than an hour later, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office, which found he died of multiple injuries from an accidental fall.
