ROBERT PLANT And THE SENSATIONAL SPACE SHIFTERS – South America 2015 Tour Short Movie Streaming

Robert Plant And The Sensational Shifters recently wrapped up their March South American tour and have uploaded a short movie detailing their experience in South America.

Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters have announced their 2015 tour. Kicking off Sunday, May 24th, at the Sasquatch! Festival in George, WA, the dates include his return to Bonnaroo the weekend of June 12th and a stop in Toronto at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre on June 7th. The North American leg will finish off on June 17th in Philadelphia, PA, at the Mann Center.

Tickets went on sale Saturday, March 21st at 10 AM, ET via RobertPlant.com or Ticketmaster.  Each ticket to the non-festival shows will include a CD of the band’s latest album, lullaby and…The Ceaseless Roar. The Pixies will be opening the Toronto show on June 7th at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre.

The tour is in support of Robert Plant’s lullaby and… The Ceaseless Roar, which was released September 2014 on Nonesuch/Warner Bros. Records.

Plant described lullaby and…The Ceaseless Roar as, “a celebratory record, powerful, gritty, African, Trance meets Zep.” He continues, “The whole impetus of my life as a singer has to be driven by a good brotherhood. I am very lucky to work with The Sensational Space Shifters. They come from exciting areas of contemporary music…”

The Sensational Space Shifters are Justin Adams: bendirs, djembe, guitars, tehardant, background vocals; John Baggott: keyboards, loops, moog bass, piano, tabal, background vocals; Juldeh Camara: kologo, ritti, Fulani vocals; Billy Fuller: bass, drum programming, omnichord, upright bass; Dave Smith: drum set; and Liam “Skin” Tyson: banjo, guitar, background vocals.

Stay tuned for updates.

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss will headline a star-studded lineup for Lead Belly At 125: A Tribute To An American Songster, on April 25th at the Kennedy Center.

Lead Belly is one of the mainstays of American folk music. A master storyteller through song, he (Huddie William Ledbetter) blended the sound of traditional folk with blues, work songs, and spirituals to create a body of music that ranks with the catalogues of Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie, America's other folk music stalwarts.

This special one-night-only concert in collaboration with the Grammy Museum, Lead Belly At 125: A Tribute To An American Songster, celebrates the man and the music featuring many of today's top artists performing Lead Belly classics. The musical evening features Robert Plant, Alison Krauss, and Buddy Miller with Viktor Krauss as headliners, with special appearances by Alvin Youngblood Hart, Billy Hector, Valerie June, Shannon McNally, Josh White Jr., Lucinda Williams, and Dan Zanes, among others.

This performance may be recorded for later broadcast. More details and tickets at this location.

To celebrate Record Store Day 2015, Robert Plant will release a special 10" EP, titled More Roar, which collects three performances from his recent world tour to support his 10th solo record, lullaby and... The Ceaseless Roar.

The release will be limited to 10,000 copies and include live versions of “Turn It Up”, “Arbaden”, “Poor Howard” and “Whole Lotta Love”.

More Roar will be available at participating outlets on April 18th. Visit the official Record Store Day site for more info.
