Opening night of the Rock Meets Classic History Of Rock Tour took place in Würzburg, Germany on March 30th with Andy Scott and Pete Lincoln (The Sweet), Steve Walsh (Kansas), Scott Gorham and Ricky Warwick (Thin Lizzy), Dan McCafferty (Nazareth), Midge Ure (Ultravox), Joey Tempest (Europe) and special guest Doro together with The Mat Sinner Band and the Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague. Highlights include metal queen Doro performing "Ballroom Blitz" with The Sweet, and Midge Ure joining Scott Gorham and Ricky Warwick for "Boys are Back In Town". Ure toured and collaborated with Thin Lizzy back in 1979.
