The clip below features former Metal Church vocalist Ronny Munroe lip-synching to his own recording of the Christmas classic by Burl Ives, "Holly Jolly Christmas". The track was recorded earlier this year at Winchester Studios with Munroe and guitarist Paul Kleff.
"This is what can happen impromptu in your living room after a bit of holiday cheer! We had a lot of fun with this and we hope it brings a smile to your face."Munroe officially left Metal Church in September "pursue other interests." The band has posted the following:
“After 10 years, four albums and many great shows and performances, lead vocalist Ronny Munroe will be leaving Metal Church to pursue other interests. This is regrettable, but understandable. We wish Ronny success with his new endeavors. To our fans we want you to know that Metal Church is still very much alive and we will have some big announcements for you in the very near future.”This past June, Munroe released his solo album, Electric Wake, on Rat Pak Records.
Produced by Bruce Bouillet and mixed by Jon Wyman, this third offering from Munroe truly captures all the magic of the classic metal genre!
"I wanted to create something that was totally new, but at the same time allow all my influences to shine through," states Ronny on the recording of the CD. "I put two years into the writing process of this album, but when it came time to start recording, I threw everything out the window and just went with my gut and it worked out better than I could have imagined."Electric Wake tracklisting:
