RUSH Guitarist Alex Lifeson's Signature Thinline Acoustic Unveiled

PRS Guitars is pleased to continue their relationship with Alex Lifeson of Rush with the announcement of an all-new SE thinline acoustic signature model. The SE Alex Lifeson Thinline acoustic is a road-worthy guitar for players in need of a stage and studio-ready instrument. Carrying over its unique appointments from the Private Stock Alex Lifeson acoustic, this model features a thinner body depth than PRS’s standard Angelus model and the “Birds in Flight” inlay design.

Lifeson: "I was very pleased when PRS presented me with my SE Angelus acoustic, a beautiful guitar of stunning quality. It was in response to the challenge of building a guitar that shared the integrity and attention to detail that the Alex Lifeson Private Stock Angelus possesses in a package more broadly accessible. The SE Alex Lifeson Thinline is that model. Carefully selected materials, expert craftsmanship and a smart approach to concept resulted in a guitar that is beautiful to look at and rewarding to play."

As preparations for the upcoming R40 tour are being made, Universal Music Enterprises continues its 12 Months of Rush celebrations with the release of a special vinyl Hologram Edition reissue of the band's epic, landmark release 2112 on March 17th. This special edition will also come with a free download card for the high resolution Digital Audio version.

Alex Lifeson on 2112: “The first record where we sounded like Rush.”

Pressed on high fidelity 200gram vinyl, this unique Hologram Edition showcases a custom, hand- of the "Red Star of the Federation" in the album's dead wax runout of side two. To reveal the spinning hologram, fans can use any focused source of light, such as the LED flashlight on a smartphone, directly above the turntable while playing.

2112 has been newly-remastered on 200-gram, heavyweight vinyl at legendary Abbey Road Studios using the Direct to Metal Mastering (DMM) audiophile copper plating process, all from original analogue masters. Pre-order your copy at Rush Backstage Club.
