SAIGON KICK Guitarist JASON BIELER Takes Part In New Fan Q&A - "MATT KRAMER Is The Lead Singer; I Just Work Here"

Saigon Kick guitarist Jason Bieler has launched another fan Q&A session via Facebook. Following is an excerpt from the latest round:

Q: Let's get the Kickstarter account going and get a album recorded...

Bieler: "I am not sure how I feel about that. I know we could raise a lot of money, but then you are making music based on expectations and I am not sure I feel comfortable with that. I am hoping for a more organic process. Not ruling it out and amazingly grateful that we have support like that, just not sure."

Q: Any interest in exploring the 8/9 string guitar realm? Any fave alternate tuning?

Bieler: "So funny you ask, I was just thinking about doing that. Seven for sure, 8... well, because Messugah is heavy, 9 is bordering on silly. I have messed with some alt tuning, Drop D or in my case C# is my 'go to'."

Q: If and when new material starts to come together will you and Matt (Kramer) take turns on lead vocals or will songs be written with Matt as lead like on the first two albums?

Bieler: "I would imagine we would work together on whatever we do next. When it comes to Saigon Kick, MK is the lead singer, I just work here."

Saigon Kick performed at The Social in Orlando on May 30th. Founding members Matt Kramer (vocals) and Jason Bieler (guitars) were backed by Jonathan Mover (drums) and Jason Rosner (bass), who replaced the recently departed Phil Varone and Chris McLernon respectively.
