SAIGON KICK Guitarist JASON BIELER Talks Water Album, SUPER TRANSATLANTIC, THE BEATLES And QUEEN In New Fan Q&A

Saigon Kick guitarist / Owl Stretching mastermind Jason Bieler has checked in with the following message to the fans:

"Yes folks, it is time for your favorite internet Q&A inter-web show Bieler Knows Best. I am here live so fire away with your best questions! Biotech, day trading, offshore money havens, how I lost 45 pounds in a day by simple at home amputation. Anything goes!"

Q: Beatles or Beach Boys and why? Queen or Led Zeppelin and why?

Jason: "Beatles... I have never really dug as deep into the Beach Boys as I should have other than the obvious hits. I have to go Queen but not an easy win, Zep riffs are monsters, but the Queen melodies would probably win it for me."

Q: When is the next Super Transatlantic record? You and Pat Badger had a great first album. That would be epic....

Jason: "I would love to do that, but everyone's schedules are so crazy. Never say never though!"

Q: What contributions did Matt (Kramer/vocals) make on Water, and has there ever been any thoughts on re-recording said contributions?

Jason: "I don't think Matt was involved in the Water record to any great degree, at least not that I remember."

Q: What is your favorite cover song to play, and what is your favorite Saigon Kick song to play?

Jason: "I don't really have one, unlike a lot of people I don't really know that many covers… and I dig 'Word Goes Round', 'The Lizard' but it changes every day!"

Saigon Kick performed at The Social in Orlando on May 30th. Founding members Matt Kramer (vocals) and Jason Bieler (guitars) were backed by Jonathan Mover (drums) and Jason Rosner (bass), who replaced the recently departed Phil Varone and Chris McLernon respectively. Fan-filmed video from the show can be viewed below:

Varone issued the following statement upon his departure:

“To all the great Saigon Kick fans, I have officially left Saigon Kick effective immediately. I would like to thank all the fans for coming out to the shows over the last couple of years, it was fun to play for you. I wish nothing but the best to Saigon Kick."

Following the news Varone had left the band, Saigon Kick bassist Chris McLernon has announced via Facebook he is following Varone's lead:

"To the New World Love Clan of Saigon Kick:

I'm leaving my post on stage right. It's been a humbling honor to see you all, and I can't ever express sufficient gratitude for your undying dedication and your love for what we've done. Take care of yourselves, travel safe, and maybe I'll see you down the road."
