SCORPION CHILD Announce Two Dates At Sturgis Buffalo Chip

Austin classic rock sensation Scorpion Child announced they will be playing the 75th Sturgis Buffalo Chip! The band will play on Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, 26, marking the first year that Sturgis Buffalo Chip will be offering three nights of headlining concerts at no charge during its first ever, free, pre-rally party.

Scorpion Child’s vocalist Aryn Jonathan Black commented about Sturgis: "It's the 75th anniversary of Sturgis! What else could be said besides how honored we are to be a part of it! Collectively, we have been eager to pummel the Sturgis audience with a harsh wave of riffs and good time heavy metal blues since our inception."

The three-night concert series will take place on the Jägermeister Stage at the free-access CrossRoads at the Buffalo Chip and will feature a caliber of live music not typically offered without a cover charge. While the concerts are free, VIP and weekend camping passes can be purchased for this special, three-day weekend event.

Praised for their "proper rock-and-roll riffage" and "unapologetic classic rock" by Clutch vocalist Neil Fallon, the band have also been commended by radio and television personality Eddie Trunk for their "old-school-spirit, kick-ass hard rock, killer riffs and vocals".  Scorpion Child’s music has been played on Eddie Trunk’s live show on SiriusXM satellite radio as well as on Nights With Alice Cooper.

The band is currently working on their sophomore album following their self-titled, full-length which debuted at #26 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart & at #99 on the Hard Music Album chart the week following its June 2013 release.
