Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian, along with his father-in-law Meat Loaf, and Quiet Riot drummer Frankie Banali are three of the many celebrity guests confirmed to appear at the Chiller Theatre Expo from October 28th to 30th, inside The Sheraton in Parsippany, New Jersey. Further details can be found at this location.
In other news, as part of its 35th anniversary celebration, thrash legends Anthrax are confirmed to guest on Late Night With Seth Meyers, on Wednesday, August 24th performing their new single, "Monster At The End”. This will be Anthrax's "Late Night" debut. Late Night With Seth Meyers airs on NBC at 12:35 AM/11:35 PM, CT.
"Monster At The End" is from the band's critically-acclaimed album For All Kings (Megaforce). Anthrax will join fellow Big Four members Slayer for a major North American Fall tour that launches September 9th. Dates can be found here.
During their three-and-a-half decades together, Anthrax has sold ten-million units, been awarded Gold and Platinum albums and six Grammy nominations. They are card-carrying members of The Big Four (the sole representatives from the East Coast), and helped break down the race and genre barriers when they collaborated with Public Enemy on "Bring The Noise”. They were the first metal band to have their music played on Mars when NASA played "Got The Time" to wake up the Mars Rover, Curiosity. Author and big Anthrax fan Stephen King included an Anthrax concert in one of his Dark Tower series books, and comic book artist Alex Ross has created several Anthrax album covers and t-shirt designs.
