Writer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Scott Stevens has signed an exclusive publishing deal with the newly launched Lava Music Publishing, a venture with Kobalt Publishing. Stevens’ recent work includes hits from Halestorm, Nothing More, Skillet, Daughtry, The Sick Puppies, Theory Of A Deadman, Pop Evil, and many more.
Stevens co-wrote eight songs on the new Halestorm album Into The Wildlife, which just debuted at #5 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart. In addition, he also has a song in the new Melissa McCarthy movie Spy, which hits theaters soon.
From Los Angeles, CA, Stevens rose to success with the modern rock band The Exies (over 480,000 records sold). Stevens has been a prominent songwriter and producer since leaving the band, scoring five number one singles in the last year and a half.
“I am very proud that Scott Stevens, our first signing, has come out swinging with multiple cuts on hit records including Halestorm and the upcoming record from Shinedown”, states Lava Music chairman Jason Flom. “And the best part is that the best is yet to come!"
