SHADOWSIDE - More Behind-The-Scenes Footage From "Alive" Video Shoot Posted

Brazilian bashers Shadowside have posted behind-the-scenes footage from the recent video shoot for the song "Alive", taken from their as-yet-untitled forthcoming album. Check it out below.

Shadowside's new album was recorded at Fredman Studio in Gothenburg, Sweden, with producers Fredrik Nordström (Arch Enemy, Evergrey, Bring me the Horizon, Hammerfall) and Henrik Udd (Architects, Delain, Dream Evil, Bring Me The Horizon) and will feature the debut of new bass player Magnus Rosén (ex-Hammerfall).

Shadowside recently posted Part 2 of their behind-the-scenes blog for the "Alive" shoot, written by drummer Fabio Buitvidas. Check it out below. Part 1 is available here.

Day 1 - Part 2

September 28, 2016 - "We did several takes, in group, individual, and I always had to be there because the drums were fixated and I had to be playing even during the individual shots. That made me sit during several hours behind the drum kit with a 5,000 watts light, two actually, one on each side and both pointing at me. So I realized my arm felt really hot and red, like a sunburn...kinda like after you had 19 Guinnesses and slept at the beach...I realized it was because one of the lights had a small issue with the UV filter.

End of the filmings, I had a couple of beers and we ran back to the hotel to get some rest and get ready for the external filmings on the following day, when I'll film my scenes at the beach and then we'll have Magnus and I again at a lake during the evening.

However...

When we got to the hotel, I realized the burn was much more serious, my arm looked 'purple dead' and it really burnt, I began developing a fever and my eyes started to become really painful. By dawn, I was already messaging everybody asking to change my schedule because I was in no condition to film. It ended up that my eyes got burned as well and I couldn't open them, nor close... actually I wanted to rip them out of my orbits because the pain was absurd... it felt like the entire sand of Sinai desert was inside my eyes and there was still the arm burn... and inside the room it was like -34 degrees Celsius because damn Raphael leaves the air condition turned on at the maximum... me with a fever and my arm like a hot plate ready to fry a few steaks shivering and with pain in my eyes."

September 29, 2016 - "Pretty early, the director Daniel arrived at the hotel with painkillers to decide what we were going to do. We switched the schedule order and went back to bed since we would only leave at 4:30PM. I was given the choice to go or not due to my state, but we all went together and I went prepared to do my scenes at the lake at night. The inflammatory process that began in my arm was only getting worse and so were my eyes, but we had work to do."

The new Shadowside album features the collaboration of Andy La Rocque, guitarist known worldwide for his work with King Diamond. La Rocque wrote a few songs together with new bassist Magnus Rosén which will be on the new album.
