SLASH - “The Music Business Itself Sucks… Nowadays Even Heavy Metal Bands Try To Be Top 40”; Audio

Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators recently performed in Helsinki, Finland. During their visit, Slash took part in an interview with Samuli Väänänen for Finnish radio network, Nova.

During the interview, Slash talks about the difference between this band and earlier bands he’s been in, new music (he has album worth of new material ready), who he would like to work with in the future (Stevie Wonder), the music business (”music business itself sucks, nowadays even heavy metal bands try to be top 40”, ”It’s really hard for the new artists”), being a legend, star and influence (”I never get used to that”), and much more.

Listen to the interview at this location.

On September 25th, 2014, shortly after the release of their World On Fire album, Slash with Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators took the stage at the legendary Roxy Theatre on Sunset Strip in West Hollywood.

The atmospheric venue, steeped in rock history, gave fans a brilliant opportunity to experience the band up close as they delivered a set packed with more recent solo tracks, including several from the new album, and classics from Slash's earlier career with Guns n' Roses and Velvet Revolver. The intimate setting inspired the band to deliver a scintillating, dynamic performance, due for release on June 16th on 2CD, DVD and Blu-Ray, and on June 30th on 3LP set via the UK Europe.
