SLAYER's Tom Araya - Scion Audio Visual Extended Video Interview Streaming

Tom Araya of Slayer gave an extended interview for the Scion AV All Purpose Show. Host Prince Paul spoke with the soft-spoken bassist and vocalist of the band, that Araya says started out wanting to be “the heaviest and the fastest” around.

For over 30 years Slayer has been attracting passionate fans, and he begins his talk with Paul discussing his thoughts on the phenomenon of Slayer tattoos. Araya continues on, describing the group’s humble beginnings self-funding the sessions to record their music, to their years of collaboration with producer Rick Rubin, to their current state where they can record a new album when they feel like it. But despite the changes in their circumstances, when Slayer plays live, the goal remains to blow every other band off the stage - as they’re still doing on their current Scion-sponsored tour of North America.

Look out for more in-depth interviews from the latest episode of the Scion AV All Purpose Show this week. Also below check out the Scion x Slayer Driven video where Tom Araya and Kerry King take you to the ESP Guitar facility, a snake warehouse and studio tour.
