Canadian - American formation Gone In April will release its second album Threads Of Existence, on February 12th.
For this album, drummer Yanic Bercier (ex-Quo Vadis, Märchenbilder) and singer/string player Julie Bélanger Roy (ex-Bâtards du Nord, Märchenbilder) join forces with guitarist Marc-André Gingras (Quo Vadis) and fretless bass virtuoso Steve Di Giorgio (Death, Testament). The lineup is completed by vocalist Aaron Rogers (Across April Skies).
“We cannot wait for the fans to hear the album! We’ve worked extensively in the last months, and the result is worth every sleepless night,” says drummer Yanic Bercier. With this second opus, the formation shows a new sound: technical, powerful, and ripe with memorable melodies. Fans of melodic death metal will be happy to hear Gingras’ technical melodic guitars, Rogers’ deep growls as well as Bercier’s signature drumming on this new album, while Di Giorgio’s complex and percussive bass lines add punch and beautifully complement the songs. Roy’s string arrangements and melodious vocals are certain to please fans of symphonic metal as well.
Threads Of Existence clocks in at just under an hour with ten new tracks. The album was engineered and mixed by Yanic Bercier at WaveTransform Recording Studio in Knoxville, TN, and mastered by Yannick St-Amand at Northern Studio in Amos, QC. An album teaser can be viewed below.
