"This year's Vai Academy is All About the Guitar. Not only will Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Sonny Landreth and special guests be sharing their musical knowledge, but it is our great privilege to host industry titans Sterling Ball and Larry DiMarzio, who will be joining in the festivities.

Sterling Ball is owner of Music Man and Ernie Ball Strings and he will be speaking about his career and all about guitar strings. How they are made, why they sound the way they do and how to get the most out of them.

Larry DiMarzio is the inventor of the first replacement electric guitar pick up in the 70’s. His innovative brilliance has powerfully contributed to the evolution of the sound of the electric guitar and he will be speaking about guitar pick-ups, how they work, why they sound the way they sound, and virtually all aspects of the electronics of the electric guitar.

Vai Academy 2015 - All About The Guitar, the ultimate guitar experience music camp, will be held in Vail, Colorado August 2nd - 6th.

Alien Guitar Secrets is an unprecedented masterclass opportunity offered by Steve Vai to all music students and guitar enthusiasts.
