STEVEN TYLER Lands At #1 On Billboard's Top Country Albums

Billboard.com reports that We're All Somebody From Somewhere, the first solo album from Steven Tyler, bounds in at #1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart (dated August 6th), selling 17,000 copies in its first week (ending July 21st), according to Nielsen Music. On the all-genre, consumption-based Billboard 200, it starts at #19, with 18,000 equivalent album units.

We’re All Somebody From Somewhere features 15 new songs including his first two country singles, “Love Is Your Name” and “Red, White And You”, as well as a new, “darker, countrified” version of Aerosmith’s “Janie’s Got A Gun”.

It's being hailed the biggest televised concert event of the summer. On August 3rd, ABC will condense Nashville's massive, four-day CMA Music Festival into a three-hour special titled CMA Music Festival: Country's Night To Rock.

The Country Music Association has released the show's list of performers, which includes Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, alongside a who's who of country music such as Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood and many, many more, reports Rolling Stone.

Attended by more than 88,000 people, the CMA Music Festival took place in early June and featured more than 600 artists performing all over downtown Nashville. Ticket proceeds went toward music education programs for youth.

Tyler’s new song, “Hold On (Won’t Let Go)" has been named the new anthem for the Colorado-based bull riding organization's CBS television broadcasts and live events. The track is featured on Tyler's debut solo album, We're All Somebody From Somewhere, released on July 17th via Dot Records/Big Machine Label Group.

The song will open PBR broadcasts on CBS Sports and CBS Sports Networks. It will also play at live events and be part of PBR's advertising/marketing campaigns.
