STONE SOUR Frontman COREY TAYLOR Recording VAN HALEN's "Unchained" For Third Covers EP - "That Song Just Kind Of Sums Up Everything About That Band That's Awesome"

Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor recently called in to Michigan's WGRD 97.9 FM to talk about acting in Slipknot bandmate Clown's first film, working on the Fear Clinic movie, the new Stone Sour cover EPs, and Slipknot's latest single, "KillPop". During the interview, Taylor revealed Stone Sour has two more cover EPs in the works - Straight Out Of Burbank and No Sleep 'Till Burbank respectively - and that the band's rendition of Van Halen's "Unchained" will be on the third EP at Taylor's insistence.

Stone Sour issued their Record Store Day exclusive release, the Meanwhile In Burbank… EP, on April 18th. The release, featuring covers of tracks from Metallica, Judas Priest, KISS, Black Sabbath, and Alice In Chains, will be available digitally today, April 28th.
Says Stone Sour: “We realize that some of our biggest fans around the world didn’t have the opportunity get Meanwhile In Burbank… on Record Store Day, and those die-hard fans have made themselves heard. We are now excited to announce that Meanwhile In Burbank.. will be released on iTunes on 4/28/15!”
