April 24, 2006, 18 years ago
In mid-February Switzerland's SYBREED (www.sybreed.com) announced that drummer Alex had decided to leave the band for "personal reasons concerning the band, and musical divergences concerning the new album."
At that time the band stated, "Now we are urgently looking for a new drummer for the recording of the new album and the following tour. If you are interested, send me an e-mail (drop@sybreed.com)."
The band has since issued the following update: "Hi there!! Finally, here is some fresh news about the new Sybreed album.
We are working on the last few details for the new songs, and in a few days we will have all the demo tracks for the album ready to be rehearsed for the recording, which will take place during June, July and August.
We still did not find an official drummer yet, but the good news is that we will collaborate with one of the best for the recording.
Yes it’s official now, Dirk Verbeuren (SOILWORK, SCARVE) will record the drums on the new Sybreed album!! Get ready folks it's gonna be awesome!!!!!
We will record the drums mid-June at the Taurus Studio in Geneva.
The guitars, bass & vocals will be recorded during July and August in my studio, The Drone, in Geneva also.
The mix will be held during September, we will have more info about the studio in which it will take place in the coming months.
We are still auditioning drummers, so if you are interested, send me an e-mail (drop@sybreed.com).
While waiting, you can always listen to the 'Emma-Zero' demo on our MySpace page.
More news will follow soon..."
