TESLA's Frank Hannon Talks Tour With DEF LEPPARD, Three Decades Of Hanging Tough In New Audio Interview
August 4, 2015, 9 years ago
Minutes after Sacramento rock titans Tesla ended another stellar set in support of Def Leppard on their colossal American tour which will have covered 40 major cities by the time it wraps up, guitarist Frank Hannon this past Tuesday evening called into Matthew O'Shaughnessy's WVOX Metal Mayhem show in New York, where Tesla has long been a major staple of the station's hard rock playlist for thirty years now. Hannon was only too psyched and overly excited to discuss how well and power-packed the current road trek with Def Leppard and Styx had been going.
"I cannot tell you what a shot in the arm this tour has been for us, for our band. I think our sound adds an edge to this great tour. We're back in the major leagues; we're back in the arena's where we belong!" exclaims Hannon.
During the on air radio meltdown between Hannon and O'Shaughnessy, the two talked about the sold out shows every night of the tour, the legions of diehard Tesla fans every night, the bands latest Tom Zutaut produced album, Simplicity, and how Tesla took just that; a more simple and straightforward approach to this latest CD. The Tesla guitarist also elaborates on the incredible comaraderie between all three bands on the tour, giving an in-depth behind the scenes look at what goes on when their not on stage rocking the rafters. And the band played on!
