Metal Wani Editor In Chief Owais 'Vitek' Nabi had a chat with Testament frontman Chuck Billy about the band’s upcoming album. Brotherhood Of The Snake. He talks about why it's the strongest album executed by the band, the amount of frustration and anger they went through while writing and recording the album, and the fan expectation after the critical success of Dark Roots Of The Earth.
He also talks about entering the studio without any preparations for the first time in their career, how Eric Peterson wrote the entire album again without any ideas from other members, how the band was aware of the pressure to top Dark Roots Of The Earth, and why he will never write and record the album again the way they did this time.
He also throws light on writing vocal lines, writing melodies more than four times, the lyrical aspect and the concept of the album, recording with new bassist Steve DiGiorgio for the first time, how he brought his influences on the new album, his take on fans texting and using cellphones during the shows and much more.
