Dutch polyrhythmic metallers, Textures, have announced that they will be supporting Amorphis on their upcoming European tour in March/April.

Frontman Daniël De Jongh said of the announcement: "It's a great honour to tour entire Europe as main support for one of the biggest quality metal bands in Europe; Amorphis. A fantastic chance to visit some countries we haven't been before as well. The Finnish metallers are touring their native continent in support of their latest album Under The Red Cloud (2015). We will hit the road to show our material of our new record Phenotype (out tomorrow). See you on the road!"

Textures will release the first of their upcoming two albums, Phenotype, tomorrow, February 5th, via Nuclear Blast. The second record of the musical diptych, Genotype, will be released one year later. The band have released the second part of a track-by-track series in support of Phenotype. The new virtuosos Uri Dijk (synth) and Joe Tal (guitar) deliver a new, harmonic vibe to the mature Textures sound. Genotype, which will be released a year later - is a 45-minute long conceptual track. The root material, Phenotype consists of, is presented in this song, but in a totally different context. Textures go out-of-the-box. More proggy, more atmosphere and lots of extra layers to fill the last gaps left in this extensive, double rollercoaster ride.

In support of Phenotype, Textures will hit the European stages this month.
